10 is the New 14

by Dave on September 29, 2009

ObesityRecently I did an episode where eating “one burger” is like eathing 3 burgers 50 years ago, a new article on CNN that points out, that much like our food, our clothes are getting bigger. In the article it states, “You may actually be a size 14 and, according to whatever particular store you’re in, you come out a size 10,” said Natalie Nixon, associate professor of fashion industry management at Philadelphia University. “It’s definitely to make the consumer feel good.”

To follow up on my previous post a McDonald’s hamburger is 3.5 oz. where an Angus Delux is 11.1 oz  (317% bigger than a hamburger).
