I’m still reading Get Healthy For Heaven’s Sake by Lisa Marrone. It turns out she has a book titled Overcoming Back and Neck Pain: A Proven Program for Recovery and Prevention and there is some great stuff in this book that shows you how easy it may be to live without pain in your neck and back. A Lot of it has to do with how we stand, sleep, and sit. That’s right. Mom was right when she said “Quit Slouching!”
While reading about how to stand up straight, this clip of Lisa on TV make it a little easier to understand the “blocks” and how they line up.
For me, I never understood why they brough Anna Kournikova on to the biggest loser. While she is/was an athlete, I never saw her as a trainer. However, while watching the show and the support she received from her contestants I thought I might be wrong. It turns how that she may have been hired to tr to fill Jillian Michael’s shoes (who always appeared as “TV’s Toughest Trainer”) but if you listen to Jillian’s podcast, or watched her “Losting It” show you know that Jillian also has a software side that allows her to get inside the heads of her contestants. Apparently not the case with Anna.
Anna Kournikova had a hard childhood growing up in Russia. From what I’ve read, she may not have been so sympathetic to her overweight contestants who were complaining about the trainin beging to hard. One report stated she was a “Nightmare.”
I’m glad they are keeping Dolvett Quince who I feel is a qualified trainer. It will be interesting to see if the squeak in another female as they have almost always had a female be it Jillian, Anna, or going back Kim Lyons who replaced Jillian when she left the first time.
I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying your podcast. I listen on my drive to work everyday! You have so much good information. Your intro and song are so awesome! Thanks again for you podcast it is wonderful! — Michele
