			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have read it more and more books and articles I read. Instead of sticking with 3 meals, have more meals of smaller size.  Another way of looking at this is instead of three giant meals, have three meals of smaller size, and then 3 snacks in between meals.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" title="Carrots" src="http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/image/s_carrots.jpg" alt="" width="180" height="120" />I&#8217;ll give you an example. Yesterday it had been three hours since my last meal. It was about 2:30 and I thought I&#8217;m not going to make it to &#8220;dinner&#8221; time. Another point is if I did make it to 5 PM I would be famished, and eat too much, too fast.  With this in mind, I grabbed a bowl, and through some baby carrots in and put it next to the computer. Now instead of snacking on chips, I was snacking on carrots.  While carrots may not be the MMMMM factor of chips, they are definitiely healthier and the they achived their goal - I wasn&#8217;t hungry any more.</p>
<p>There are all sorts of healthy snacks that you can eat to get you through the day. I&#8217;m tring to space mine out every 3 to 4 hours. If I see it&#8217;s only been 90 minutes then I tell myself, &#8220;You&#8217;re not really hungry - you&#8217;re bored&#8221; (and that&#8217;s probably the truth).</p>
<p>While I&#8217;m currently experiementing with <a title="Diet Pro Fitness and Nutrition Coaching software" href="http://dietpro.logicalloss.com" target="_blank">Diet Pro</a> nutrition and fitness coaching software, one of the things I like about <a title="Vidaone Software Free Trial" href="http://logicalloss.com/likes?vidaone">Vidaone </a>software (that I&#8217;ve been using) is I can see when the last time I had something to eat.  By keeping my starvation mode in check, I&#8217;m less likely to pig out when I get to eat. As I said before, more and more people are saying this is the key to their success.  Jorge Cruise even has a <a title="Three Hour Deit - Jorge Cruise" href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0061237191/logical-20" target="_blank">3-hour diet book</a>.</p>

<p>Think of yours. You may have thought you never could get through it, but you did. Well losing weight is hard, and you may feel you can&#8217;t do it, but you can. If you made it through your toughest situation, you can make it through the process of losing weight.</p>
<h3>Celebrate and Remember Your Victories</h3>
<p>This week I had numerous temptations in the form of Dairy Queen, McDonald&#8217;s, McDonald&#8217;s again, and other times &#8220;the little voice&#8221; wanted me to do something I knew was not going to be the right choice.</p>
<p>By doing the right thing you are practicing doing the right thing, and you will find it easier to do in the past.  I have this mental list in my head now so when I drive down the street I can tell myself &#8220;beat that, overcome that one, &#8221; and more.</p>
<p>By being consistent, I am seeing results (I&#8217;m down to 209 lbs). I am walking 2 miles in the morning, and in the early evening I do the rest of my 10,00 steps. I&#8217;m eating better and exercising more, and it is starting to pay off. It&#8217;s taken a few weeks, but it is starting to pay off.</p>

But apparently Hollywood (Rachel Ray) is all over this Brazilian berry. We have Oprah&#8217;s Dr. Perricone&#8217;s declaring it the number one super food. At <a title="Acai BErry At Oprah.com" href="http://www.oprah.com/article/health/nutrition/life_acai" target="_blank">Oprah.com</a> he claims:</p>

<ul>

<p>It&#8217;s also supposed to help you lose weight.  The interesting thing is I&#8217;ve never heard of it. (of course I don&#8217;t watch Oprah). The last miracle drug I heard was <a title="Free Sample of Hoodia" href="http://www.hoodiagordoniiplus.com/?aid=707818" target="_blank">Hoodia</a> which was the &#8220;miracle natural appetite suppressant&#8221; from and African plant.  I remember seeing the report on 60 minutes about <a title="Free Sample of Hoodia" href="http://www.hoodiagordoniiplus.com/?aid=707818" target="_blank">Hoodia</a></p>
<p>If you go to <a title="Acai BErry Super Food By Oprah's Doctor" href="http://www.oprah.com/article/health/nutrition/life_acai" target="_blank">Oprah&#8217;s site</a> you will also notice people have commented saying how hard it is to cancel their subscription.</p>
<p>So I went and looked into <a title="Free Trial of Acai" href="http://www.acaiberryselect.com/splash.php?aid=707818" target="_blank">Acai</a> and I see how this works.  I notice one thing right off the bat at the bottom of the page. This has not been evaluated by the FDA. I then notice that when you go to order your free 14 day trial (you pay a small shipping and handling fee) that what you are really doing is signing up to get a 14 day trial, and then a 2 months supply (for $79 + 7 bucks for shipping). You can also sign up for 6 bottles and get 6 free (etc, etc).</p>
<p>So my question to you dear readers, is anybody using this and does it work? If its working what else are you doing? I mean after all if Oprah&#8217;s doctor said it must be true right? Hmmm Let me know. Leave a comment, call the toll free number 888-563-3228.</p>

It outlines a circuit training program that involves 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength training, and 1 minute of working on your abs. While it is geared towards women, it had some interesting tips on stopping emotional eating and more.</p>
<p>We get an email from Linda Sim who has lost 25 lbs this year, as she talks about why she likes the show and shares with us her favorite <a title="Workout Music" href="http://astore.amazon.com/logical-20?%5Fencoding=UTF8&amp;node=46" target="_blank">workout tunes</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m pleased that Michelle won the biggest loser. The next season starts Jan. 6 and it will have a 19 year old boy who weighs 454 lbs. and have a couple who is 63 years old.</p>
<p>Circuit training has been shown to increase weight loss efforts and it stops your exercise form being boring (as you are switching from one exercise to another. The book has lots of exercises and I feel it would be hard to keep your heart rate in the proper zone while using the book as you&#8217;d have to memorize a number of examples.</p>
<p>Also there are some interesting &#8220;<a title="Games" href="http://astore.amazon.com/logical-20?%5Fencoding=UTF8&amp;node=48" target="_self">games</a>&#8221; for fitness for the Ninendo Wii and Nintendo DS that are geared towards having fun and losing weight.</p>
