Portable Resistance Training “Tubes”

I'm trying to find ways to do resistance training without going to the gym. In the past I've talked about the  Go Fit Ultimate Pro Gym which goes for around $26. It comes with a DVD and three bands. I recently found out about Bodylastics. This seems to be a higher caliper of resistance bands (the clips are metal and the “tubes” are reinforced). I thought, “Oh I bet they cost an arm and a leg. It turns out they don't. It turns out the same type of “beginner” system clocks in at $29.

It comes with:

  • 1 D.G.S. Anti-Snap green band (5 lbs.)
  • 1 D.G.S. Anti-Snap red band (8 lbs.)
  • 1 D.G.S. Anti-Snap blue band (13 lbs.)
  • 2 Heavy duty foam covered handles
  • 2 Heavy duty ankle straps
  • 1 Heavy duty door anchor
  • 1 Workouts DVD with digital user manual
  • 1 Three Month Free trial to Liveexercise*
  • 1 storage/travel bag
  • Lifetime Warranty

Here is a video:

I see how they make their money. They want you to use Liveexercise (a website with tons of videos) and later subscribe to it. That makes sense. Then I found out that Fitdeck has a “Resistance Tube” deck for a one time fee of $9.95
