We read over and over that a healthier way to cook is to substitue Olive oil instead of butter in your pan (Olive oil contains monounsaturated fat, a healthier type of fat that can lower your risk of heart disease by reducing the total and low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or “bad”) cholesterol levels in your blood). You can make your own salad dressings etc. The bad news is Oilive Oil can be kind of Pricy (about 10 bucks a bottle, if not more).
Someone just purchased the Misto M100S Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer. This is a cool Aluminum sprayer. You pull of the cap, fill up the canister about hald way, and then put the cap back on and pump the unit a few times. You can then spray your olive oil for about 10 seconds. You use less Olive Oil as you are not dumping it directly. Its super easy to clean and reuse. Best of all it's only $8.88 There is a demonstration video on the Amazon page. If you're in a “eat this not that” mood and looking for a way to work in some Olive Oil, check out the Misto M100S Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer
Anybody got any recipes for salad dressing? This sounds cool.
