Tips to Help You Lose 100 lbs.

by Dave on November 5, 2009

I read a great article on WebMD that has 10 tips for losing 100 lbs.

1 .Shrink yourself – What is the extra weight doing for you?
2. Are you ready? – Seriously are you ready? Do one thing at a time
3. Consider the options – Supervised, alone, with a partner, etc.
4. Build in accountability – hold yourself accountable.
5. Adjust your expectations – It took a while to add this weight, its not coming off over night.
6. Develop a healthy selfishness – put yourself first so you will be around tomorrow
7. Fat proof your environment – if needed have the kids put their chips in their room.
8. Pick the brain of healthy people – find out what they do, and do it.
9. Find you secret weapons – keep track of your progress.
10. Reward yourself – but no food rewards.

When I set up my website, I had it alert me if someone alerted me about comments on the website. I never got them. Today I found them and I share them. This show originates at www.logicalloss.com (this is show #41).

Here are some of the great tips from our listeners

1.  If you are eating food just to get a new taste in your mouth, try brushing your teeth.

2. Preston picks something to give up for A YEAR. Why not take a baby step and see if you can give up something for a month. If this makes your life miserable, maybe think twice. We don’t want losing weight to bring up feelings of hatred and pain.

3. Pam says quit eating after 9 PM. Quit eating pasta after lunch.

4. Some great weight tracking sites: www.bodydeamon.com and www.calorieking.com

5. Car From Wolverhampton England has seen results in his Mother who like Paul McKenna of “I Can Make Your Thin” fame.

6. While Exercise is great, you may want to ask yourself, “Is the food I’m eating worth the extra time on the treadmill?” In most cases you may find out its not.

Burn 40 Times More Calories

by Dave on November 28, 2007

A pound of muscles burns 40 times more calories than a pound of fat

(this is my summary of a point I read in YOU: On a Diet) .Keep this in mind when you are starting out. This is WHY you are exercising to build muscle. Eventually as your fat is replaced with muscle, you will be a calorie burning machine.

Update on my cookie. I ate one and it took 10 minutes to burn of those 70 calories on my Tony Little Gazzelle Elite.

TIP: Let your family know that you are getting fit. They should help you stay on track. Also write down your goal, and post it on your computer, your mirror, by your bed. This will help remind you of your goal.

YOU CAN DO THIS.
